Small businesses much often believe in multitasking. They have the idea that it helps them keep low and save on overheads. No doubt multitasking does help businesses, but it has limited scope to offer since it is effective only when used occasionally in the time of need. However, when multitasking is made a part of everyday activity, it produces contrary results. It is mainly because multitasking brings with it the high risk of making errors, mistakes, omissions. Correcting these errors and resolving the issues involved, rather than saving on overheads, causes the business losses on finance, labor and the time it consumes. Thus, the truth is that multitasking cannot be made a part of the everyday activity; rather it needs business owners to look for feasible solutions.
Whether it has to do with planning on improving business or making important business decision, it involves making research, analyzing available options, weighing affordability, all that needs devoting enough time to come up with an effective workable business plan, strategy, or even if it just involves making a business decision. Therefore, while keeping oneself busy, to some extent, having free time carries more value to the owners.
